We calculate the Green function for the Dirac equation describing a spin 1/2 particle in the presence of a potential which is a sum of the Coulomb potential VC = −A1/r and a Lorentz scalar Vs = −A2/r. The bound state spectrum is obtained. PACS numbers:03.65.Pm,03.65.Ge ⋆ e-mail:[email protected]

We report on a systematic treatment of Coulomb corrections for 3-and n-particle (Bose-Einstein) correlations, leading to a removal of a 100 % systematic error from earlier Coulomb corrections of 5-particle Bose-Einstein correlations in heavy ion collisions. These results are generalized to include strong final state interactions and core-halo effects.

The Bethe ansatz equations for the spin 1/2 Heisenberg XXZ spin chain are numerically solved, and the energy eigenvalues are determined for the anti-ferromagnetic case. We examine the relation between the XXZ spin chain and the Thirring model, and show that the spectrum of the XXZ spin chain is different from that of the regularized Thirring model.
